Edie is an amazing realtor. My husband and I relocated from CA to NJ in 2010 and by luck my husband stumbled upon one of Edie’s listings. Edie took the time to listen to the endless list of expectations we were looking for in our rental. My husband and I have crazy hours and schedules since we both commute into the city, so Edie was very accommodating to our schedule and what worked best for us. My husband and Edie found an amazing rental for our family, that was both convenient for our commute, but also a family oriented area for our two children. I loved the area so much, a year later we decided we wanted to purchase our own home. We knew we couldn’t find the perfect home alone, so we called Edie. We gave Edie another crazy list of demands and our “price range”. We must have looked at over 40 houses until we found the right one for us. But without complaint, Edie was by our side at each and every home. She was very patient and treated each house like it was the first house we were ever walking into. I always felt she was looking out for our best interest and not just looking to make a sale. Thank you again Edie. We love our home and hope to live here with our three amazing children for a long time…we will be calling you when we are ready for the upgrade!

Re: Ms. Edie Angelo
I am a self employed real estate tax assessment consultant and appraiser with more than twenty five years of professional practice in metropolitan New York. My work is well known and extensive including my work as an expert witness in federal, state, and local real estate court cases. I had also been the president of my condominium for most of the eleven years in which I served on the Board of Managers.
Over the last year, my elderly parents have required more care and day-to-day involvement by me. Consequently, I decided to temporarily relocate closer to them in New Jersey while maintaining my NYC practice. This move involved more than just me and my home based office. I am an animal owner (and president of the New York Council of Dog Owner Groups; NYCdog.org). Since I still own my two, large condominiums in Manhattan as well as another in southern New Jersey, renting has long become alien to me. But given my parents’ ages and health conditions, I felt it wise to rent for now.
Due to my business and personal responsibilities, I did not have much time to seek a rental home. Furthermore, having a much loved, old, large, ill dog (she, sadly, died a month after my move) and three cats presented a seemingly insurmountable problem for me when it came to finding a rental home or apartment. Despite knowing hundreds of New York City brokers, managing agents, property owners, attorneys, and accountants, I was unable to find acceptable housing in New Jersey that would accept my pets and also meet my needs.
I called brokers and property agents throughout mid New Jersey.
To my constant consternation, every one disappointed me. Some outright lied about their pet policies (saying they were allowed, only to find them disallowed in their leases). Most, however, promised to find me housing but never called back or returned my subsequent calls; treating my business as inconsequential.
My father found Ms. Edie Angelo as the result of a small ad placed in a newspaper. To appease him, I called her. My reaction to her was immediate and overwhelmingly positive. She not only understood my situation, but she followed through. Within days, she found rental homes that met my immediate requirements and potential needs should I have to take-in my parents (minimal or no steps, parking, pet friendly, etc.). Ms. Angelo personally checked each and every listing prior to sending them to me for my
review. She never sent me a misrepresented listing. She spoke to each potential landlord about my pets. And she checked mass transit, local veterinary care, and other potentially desired services. She asked me questions and raised issues that I had neglected.
She was so good, that we managed to narrow down potential homes via telephone conversation instead of wasting time driving to view properties. When she found one that appeared satisfactory, we scheduled a viewing. Ms. Angelo was on time and professional. The home was perfect for my current needs. I actually read and signed the lease ten minutes after viewing the home.
This short narrative of my current life is intended to frame the work performed by Ms. Angelo. She was not a just a broker. In my professional and personal experience with her she has been:
Professional, discrete, and empathic.
Polite, witty, inquisitive
Knowledgeable about each property listed and every surrounding community.
Thorough in the search for listings, vetting each listing, and finalizing the lease.
Kind: she called several times following my move to check on things and when she
learned of my dog’s death, she sent a most welcomed and kind note of condolence.
Ms. Angelo would be a welcomed representative for any Real Estate Situation. I have spent time writing this because I believe anyone would be wise to choose her.
